Researchers from the Crimean Federal University. VI Vernadsky has developed a technology that allows you to quickly compost poultry and livestock waste using a microbial consortium.
To do this, a specially selected set of compatible microorganisms is added to the nutrient medium in laboratory bioreactors, where optimal conditions, temperature and rotation parameters are selected for their growth. All this makes it possible to accelerate the process of formation of a microbial consortium.
Its use allows you to significantly speed up composting – if before it took four to six months, now it takes one and a half to two.
It is assumed that the new technology will be patented during the year and applied in enterprises and agriculture.
