The capitalization of US video card and chip developer Nvidia exceeded $1 trillion at the close of trading on June 13, according to data from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). At the close of trading, Nvidia shares rose to $413.25 per share.

Nvidia’s capitalization once again surpassed $1 trillion

Since the beginning of 2023, Nvidia shares are up 175%. The explosive growth in prices began after the company published a quarterly report, in which it talked about the rapid growth in demand for processors for artificial intelligence.

On May 30, Nvidia’s capitalization in the first hours of trading surpassed $1 trillion, making the company the world’s first chipmaker with a value of more than $1 trillion.

Nvidia has become the ninth largest public company in the world with a market capitalization of more than $1 trillion. The first was Chinese oil and gas company PetroChina, which listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2007. In the United States, that company was Apple.
