On May 28 and 29, the Moscow Lomonosov Group hosted the final of the Design Workshop for Creative Specialists competition. The teams aimed to develop design concepts for Creaton’s partners: Mosgorpark, the Moscow Museum, the Zotov Center, the online platform for 3D art objects Chiko&Roko, and the theater. Vl. Mayakovsky. The contest for creative concepts “Design Workshop” has ended: which ideas became the best

The contest was attended by 29 teams made up of designers, illustrators, marketers and other creative professionals. As part of the “Design Workshop” they had to develop the design of various accessories, art objects, clothing and interior items for Creaton partners. In the final, the jury chose the best works of each associated topic.

The winner on the Mosgorpark track was the MAKIATO team. She designed a mascot in the form of a bird Urraca-Beloboka, which unites the parks of the capital under its wing. She intends for the character’s likeness to be used in missions and merchandising.

The best on the Zotov Center track was the Next team, who came up with a space logo based on scanimation, the art of real-life animated images that create illusions of movement. Such a logo can be applied to various media: postcards, shoppers and much more.

The Moscow Museum pointed to the Altertseh team: they created a concept in which the viewer is part of the city and its history. And the online platform for 3D art objects Chiko & Roko – the Tvoryugi team: the participants came up with figurines presented in the form of key rings, pendants and other souvenirs.

On the theater floor. Vl. Mayakovsky was won by two teams at once – Easy and Parnassus.

Easy’s concept is based on a coordinate point, which symbolizes the theater as a place of contact between talents and admirers, traditions and avant-garde, art and people, past and future. At the same time, the team retained the image of Vladimir Mayakovsky to maintain brand awareness. The Parnas team concept is based on bringing people together in a community of intellectuals around theater and providing an opportunity for theatergoers to express their individuality.

A special prize from Lebedev’s studio, an annual subscription to Journalus, was awarded to the winners of all tracks, as well as to the 5 Pixels team, which participated in the track on the Chiko&Roko platform. The jury appreciated the merchandise, which is decorated with 2D and 3D pixelated images that immerse you in the world of NFT.

The Audience Choice Award for Ilya Popov, the founder of Chiko&Roko, went to the Pi-mezon team, who developed unique merchandise with limited characters.

The Design Workshop was held for the second time, the first competition was held in the winter of 2023. Its goal is to allow participants to create modern souvenir products for metropolitan organizations and companies and replenish their portfolio with a case that It will help further professional growth or promotion of the company in the market. Creaton partners, in turn, gain new ideas for merchandise production, the launch of a pilot product line in collaboration with a local brand, insight from the design community, and potential contractors.
