Part of the assets of foreign companies leaving Russia should be listed on the stock exchange: Putin

Part of the assets of companies leaving the Russian market and being sold by foreign investors must be listed on the stock exchange. This was stated by Vladimir Putin during the SPIEF.

It was not said how the mechanism for the withdrawal of assets of foreign companies leaving Russia is proposed to be implemented. According to the president, it is necessary to unlock the potential of the Russian stock market.

Putin also called for speeding up the relocation of foreign-registered companies to Russia. It should be simplified in cases where it is “blocked” as such by a foreign country or its process is not described in the legislation. The transfer procedure should be simplified until December 2023, Putin said.
