That segment is still too small, according to Xbox head Matt Booth. And it’s hard not to disagree – the PlayStation VR2 was released a few months ago, and sales of the headset are still not the most impressive.
Booth noted that his department has one goal – to reach an audience of 10 million players for each new project of the internal studios. And Microsoft already has a few of these games in its portfolio.
At the same time, the VR direction is unlikely to drive such sales to Redmond residents.
True, the Xbox representative did not deny the possible appearance of such a device in the future – Microsoft continues to closely monitor the situation in the virtual reality market.
