It seems that the tech giant Apple has decided to monopolize the right to acquire a trademark with the image of an apple, depriving dozens (maybe hundreds) of companies around the world of this right, based on logo confirmations, this recognizable fruit flaunts.

Naturally, this caused a wave of discontent. One of the first to be outraged was the popular and oldest fruit producer with a 111-year-old chosen one – the Swiss company Fruit Union Suisse (its trade emblem is a red apple with a white cross).

The fact is that Apple has already filed an application with the Swiss Intellectual Property Institute (IPI) for six years to successfully obtain the right to depict the Granny Smith apple variety in black and white. If the application is approved, Apple will be able to place it on its products – electronic, digital devices and other electronics. Last spring, Fruit Union Suisse appealed against this decision, quite deservedly, that an apple (more precisely, its image) should be absolutely “free” for all mankind to wear.

In fact, Apple has monopolized the fact that the block was not targeted at men. A similar action was recorded by the World Independent Intellectual Property (OMPI) in dozens of other countries, in Japan, Turkey, Israel and Armenia, Apple has already achieved success.
