Vegetable oils, the main ingredient of mayonnaise, are a source of healthy unsaturated fats necessary for the functioning of the heart, blood vessels and the whole body.

At the same time, sour cream, which is often recommended instead of mayonnaise, is a source of saturated fat, which can adversely affect the cardiovascular system if consumed in excess.

The nutritionist emphasized that the consumption of mayonnaise in moderation will not harm. He also noted that in stores you can find mayonnaise with a similar composition to homemade but with a longer shelf life.
