A survey of how Americans spent their time in 2022 found that the changes brought about by the pandemic continue to have a lasting impact, at least in America.
While some of the white-collar workers returned to the office, a significant part of them adopted remote working as the new normal. ZipRecruiter chief economist Julia Pollak says working from home is a permanent change and many companies are taking a remote working approach.
The data also shows that remote working provides benefits for employees, such as savings in time and travel costs and increased flexibility.
The research revealed that in 2022, 34% of workers aged 15 and over work from home, and 54% of surveyed workers with a bachelor’s degree or higher work from home.
