Intel was engaged in the creation of standard fonts for writing program code, which, as it were, corresponded to the capabilities of visually impaired people. Also it is designed to generate documentation on applications and texas inside them so they were and there were some problems with the eyes. The font called “Intel One Mono” was developed with the participation of the development studio Frere-Jones Type and the advertising agency VMLY&R.
The new font has two uses. First, it is computed with source code and applicable license. Second, it’s a “monospaced” font modeled after the technical symbols seen on the console. This is a command under MS-DOS. Each letter represents a regular number of occurring horizontally, which restores confusion and x recognition.
Intel One Mono supports 200 Latin-based languages, it has four “weight” characters – light, regular, medium and bold. When creating the font, a personal coder with little experience was taken into account, for which it was necessary to change the design of some letters. The only thing that the authors of the font did not cope with was the brackets. Due to their shape, they violate the overall harmony of the font and the design of the “superfluous”, therefore, in the work on creating special variants of figures brackets.
