According to the results of a study conducted in 2022, you can shorten your own lifespan if you refuse one of the main meals. 24,000 people participated in this study.

Researchers found that those who ate just one meal a day were 30% more likely to die prematurely from all causes and 83% more likely to die from heart disease than those who ate three meals a day. Those who skipped one of their meals had an increased chance of dying by 7% and 10%, respectively.

Skipping breakfast increases your risk of premature death from all causes by 11% and your risk of dying from cardiovascular disease by 40%. Skipping lunch increases the probability of death by 12% and 15%, respectively, and skipping dinner by 16% and 17%.

So skipping dinner is the most dangerous. It is believed that the average man needs about 2500 calories per day, while a woman needs about 1800 calories.
