According to Harvard Medical School, brown fat is a type of fat that is stimulated by lower temperatures. The main role of this oil is to generate heat to regulate body temperature. This is achieved by burning the fat in the body.
Nutrition Twins experts have listed five foods that stimulate brown fat.
Tabasco. It contains capsaicin, which accelerates fat burning and increases energy expenditure, helps to burn belly fat. It is also believed that this type of pepper contributes to the work of brown oil.
Green tea. It is scientifically proven to help you burn more calories as it contains high levels of catechin, epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), caffeine. Some studies show that green tea increases the amount of brown fat in the body.
Turmeric. Contains curcumin. Scientific articles show that it can help to lose weight, reduce body fat, waist and hip circumference. Studies also show that curcumin increases calorie expenditure, thermogenesis and brown fat. However, these studies used high doses of curcumin as it is not well absorbed by the body.
Mint. Long-term menthol use has been shown to increase brown fat levels, calorie expenditure, prevent weight gain from a high-fat diet, and alter insulin sensitivity.
Fish. Omega-3 fatty acids will help you fight excess weight. They are found in oily fish.
