Kaliningrad holding “Avtotor” intends to expand the range of manufactured models from 10 to 20-22 years. By the end of 2023, the company will produce approximately 70,000 vehicles, 1,000 of which will be electric.

Passenger car brands that will be added to the company’s portfolio this year, the representative of the holding did not disclose, Vedomosti reports.

Next year, Avtotor plans to launch a plant for 50,000 compact electric vehicles a year worth almost 4 billion rubles, as well as an auto component plant for 1 million items a year for 1.13 billion rubles. , an electric motor plant with a capacity of 60,000 units per year for 8.9 billion rubles, a power electronics plant for 2.74 billion rubles, and a battery plant together with Rosatom.

Avtotor’s actual investments in these projects will be higher than the 32 billion rubles fixed in the company’s SPIK, but how much is not specified.

  • Since the beginning of 2023, the average price of a car has increased by 11% and by 20% since 2022. The dynamics arose due to artificial price inflation by car dealers. In Russia, it was proposed to establish a maximum premium on the cost of Russian cars, for car dealers it should not exceed 15%.
  • In June, AvtoVAZ began to check three dealers in Moscow for the overpricing of Lada Vesta NG cars. The company has suspended the shipment of new car models to these centers. Starting prices for Lada Vesta NG from various dealers amounted to 2.1 million rubles. At the same time, AvtoVAZ in May set the recommended cost of a car in the range from 1.24 million to 1.69 million rubles.
