The “Stories” feature allows you to share highlights that can be used for a specified period of time, from 6 hours to 48 hours.
To ensure privacy, Telegram will provide basic privacy settings that allow you to choose who can view Stories. In addition, the section interface will be compact so as not to distract from the main content.
Users will also reportedly have the option to hide Stories from certain people. The important thing will be to be able to add captions to videos or captions to photos.
Similar to the BeReal app, Telegram will support the use of both front and rear cameras for simultaneous content creation.
Pavel Durov noted that even skeptics in the messenger development team appreciated the feature after Stories was tested internally and now considers it an integral part of the platform.
The new feature will be available in early July.
