In a recent interview, Lucky emphasized that this device is of great importance for the future of virtual reality.

He stated that the Vision Pro external battery pack, which he always supports on Oculus, is the right approach. Lucky expressed regret over the recent changes in the placement of batteries and processors in the headset, rather than in a separate unit.

However, he expressed concern that Apple could repeat this mistake and create a more elegant device, but carry more weight.

Lucky conceded that the $3,500 price tag for the Vision Pro is just right, as it’s a premium device that can add a lot of value to the VR space.

The Oculus founder also stressed that Apple took the approach it always wanted from the company and followed it in the early days of Oculus. Luckey also noted that Apple’s top-notch approach to mixed reality makes the entire category more appealing.
