Counterpoint Research has just released its list of the top ten best-selling smartphones for the third quarter of 2024, and for the first time, the Galaxy S24 makes it onto the list.

The tracking company said the Samsung Galaxy S24 made the list, albeit in tenth place. This is still a notable result as no flagship Galaxy phones made the list in Q3 2023.
Counter Point Research explained the results as follows:
“Additionally, for the first time in the third quarter since 2018, a variant of the Galaxy S series made it into the top 10. Sales of the Galaxy S24 series were primarily driven by strong marketing emphasis on its GenAI capabilities.”
However, this is not the only reason for Samsung to be happy. The best-selling Android phone was the Galaxy A15 4G, which came in fourth place, ahead of the most popular Android phone a year ago (Galaxy A14 4G).
