An expert from the HONEST BLOG YouTube channel has tested the quality of Pixel 7A and 7 Pro cameras and found which one is better to buy.
He checked the selfie cameras first. In 4K resolution at 30fps for stabilization, smartphones work just as well. In terms of color reproduction, the main camera comes out better on the Pro version: the sky on this device is correct blue and on the 7A it is gray. In both cases, stabilization still works the same way. In terms of dynamic range, everything is pretty much the same when moving to ultra-wide. And not only during the day, but also in the evening.
Judging by the photos, the results were surprising and the 7A performed very well compared to the 7 Pro.
Photos in action make the 7 Pro better: it doesn’t lubricate anything like the 7A. And in neon lighting, oddly enough, details will be better on the Pixel 7A if you don’t move.
In the daytime, in good light, photos of people are well acquired on both smartphones. However, Pixel 7A has slightly more saturated colors. Under neon lighting, the photos in portrait mode turned out to be about the same quality, but the 7A still has a bit more detail.

In the evening, architecture captures details a little better with the 7 Pro. Even the photo taken from this smartphone has slightly less noise. But this is only noticeable if you specifically zoom the pictures. Periodically, the Pixel 7A better copes with the light in its photo.
Of course, Pixel 7 Pro takes clearer photos when objects get closer.
The ultra-wide-angle camera shoots roughly the same on both smartphones.
The selfie got a more accurate color on the Pixel 7A, while on the 7 Pro it somehow made the face very red. But there are more details about the Pixel 7 Pro.
In most scenarios, the Pixel 7A still loses to the 7 Pro. But you’ll get nearly identical footage on the 7A and 7 Pro during daylight hours.
