While this is speculation, the new game may still be bigger than the original. It is likely that the developers will expand the semi-open world of the game and diversify the plot with side quests. Versions of Silent Hill 2 will be released for PlayStation 5 and PC Steam.
It is not yet known when the game will be released. But after a recent Steam update, the Silent Hill 2 page has a Coming Soon status.
