The complaint alleges that Pornhub violated the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by processing user data without their consent. The authors emphasize that platform trackers are difficult to remove and are designed to bypass opt-out options. Pornhub’s parent company, MindGeek, did not comment on the ongoing litigation, but expressed its commitment to protecting user privacy.
