The Voskhod Foundation has become an investor in the biotech startup NovoSkin, which has developed a technology for the regeneration and treatment of damage to human skin. This was reported to RB.RU by a representative of the fund.
Voskhod received a minority stake in the project, the details of the deal were not disclosed.
The startup’s product is a biodegradable coating – artificial skin, which promotes effective healing, and is suitable for the treatment of II-III degree burns, open wounds, post-traumatic wounds, trophic ulcers, frostbites and bedsores, etc.
The project is in the seed stage. The funds will be used to pass the necessary certification and the initial stage of commercialization in 2024.
NovoSkin is the winner of the Startup Tour 2018 – Open Innovations as part of the Biotechnologies in Medicine and Agriculture track. The startup is also a finalist of the Voskhod Foundation’s own competition in 2022 and is included in the list of RB.RU HealthTech projects.
Currently, the Voskhod Fund’s portfolio includes 10 companies, the total amount of investments in which exceeds 2 billion rubles. The total size of the fund is 10 billion rubles, the investor is the Interros Group. The fund focuses on investments in early-stage (seed and A-round) deep-tech Russian companies.
