The head of Force Technology, IT specialist and cybersecurity expert Boris Kosarev, said Russians should be careful to avoid scams. He advises not to open files from unknown people, not to question calls from banks or law enforcement, and not to believe in huge discount offers from various stores.

According to the expert, in the first case, you should not open links or files from people you do not know or trust. You should also pay attention to calls from people claiming to be bank or law enforcement officers. Kosarev recommends checking the personal data of the caller and calling back the official number of the bank or competent authority.

It also warns not to rely on offers of 50% or more off, especially if you need a quick purchase. The expert notes that in most cases sites that offer such “sales” are fake.

However, Kosarev states that there is no 100% way to protect yourself from scammers. You must always be vigilant and prudent to minimize risks.
