manufacturers of household appliances and electronics increased purchase prices by 10-15% after the euro and the dollar, according to Kommersant.

Relevant letter makers have begun sending out to distributors. Price increases were announced by Archelik (Beko, Grundig and Indesit), SEB-Vostok group (Tefal, Moulinex and Rowenta), Maunfeld and Lex.

SEB-Vostok products will rise in price by 10% from 4 August. The head of the Russian representative office of the Candy-Hoover Group (part of the Haier Group), Gleb Mishin, said that due to the exchange rate of the foreign exchange company, “retail prices come in by 15%.”

Most of the increase in prices falls on products that are not produced in Russia: smartphones, tablets and laptops.

New price tags for these devices can be expected as early as next week, the estimated cost will rise by 10-15%.
