The National Assembly of Justice passed a law that allows the investigation of cases of coronavirus infection by remotely activating cameras, microphones and GPS for their smartphones, laptops and cars.
To do this, industrial-scale vulnerabilities are likely to be recorded.
Justice Minister Eric Dupont-Moretti said the measure would only cover “dozens of cases a year”. Surveillance can be poisoned as a result of terrorist acts and organized crime, which include threats of at least 5 years.
