Before concluding a rental agreement, most Russians only need to get general information about the owner of the apartment, while one in five would like to know more, for example, his profession and hobbies, a Yandex.Arenda survey made at the request of RB .RU showed.
For 63%, it will be enough to know the landlord’s general data: sex, age, marital status. The remaining 20% would like to know more: profession, hobbies. There are also those who do not need information about the owner at all, such as 17%.
71% of respondents would pay attention to the personal qualities of the owner of the apartment. The main characteristics of a landlord, according to tenants, are non-conflict (35%), honesty (31%) and courtesy (15%).
Among business qualities, Russians highlight respect for personal boundaries (61%). The ability to find solutions to problems (17%) and openness to dialogue (10%) follow with a wide margin.
78% would like to establish a business/neutral relationship with the owner. Only 16% would prefer to make friends.
The survey also showed that 72% of respondents would like to avoid regular meetings with the owner. Of those who are ready to meet with the owner, 45% consider it optimal to meet once a month, 34% – once every few months, and 21% – once a year.
“According to our data, sudden visits to the owners in 90% of cases give rise to early congresses of tenants. Now the service agreement provides for the need to organize meetings in advance, if they are necessary, ”said Roman Zhukov, product manager at Yandex.Arenda.
1000 people participated in the survey.
