While Microsoft blamed the Storm-1359 hacker group for the attack, Anonymous Sudan claimed responsibility on its Telegram channel. Microsoft announced that no user data was compromised during the incident.

Recently, however, Anonymous Sudan announced on its Telegram channel that they have successfully hacked and stolen the personal data of 30 million Microsoft customers and are selling it for $50,000. Microsoft disputed these claims, stating that its analysis found no evidence that customer data was accessed or compromised.

It is not yet clear whether Microsoft will investigate further.
