The thing is, Roskomnadzor has drawn up an administrative protocol against the CEO. This is because of the dissemination of information that shows unconventional sexual relations among minors or that may lead them to want to change their gender.
The protocol was submitted to the Magistrates’ Court of the Moscow Central Administrative District, but the meeting date has not yet been set.
According to article 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, companies can be fined up to 4 million rubles for this, and their activities can be suspended for 90 days. Fines for officials, including Artyom Savinovsky, can range from 200,000 to 400,000 rubles.
Recall that Artyom Savinovsky has been the CEO of Yandex since spring 2022. This case is the latest in a series of fines related to the distribution of “LGBT propaganda” to minors.
Earlier, in June, Tricolor Kino and TV were fined 1 million rubles, and a little later, in July, Kinopoisk received the same punishment.
