The capital investment of the communications operation in the registry infrastructure in 2022 by 23.7%, to a level below 350 billion rubles, follows from the official statistics of the Ministry of Digital Development.
This is the biggest drop in the last 15 years. A similar disease was only in the post-crisis year of 2009, when the costs of the operation decreased by 36.8% to 148 billion rubles.
Last year, cost accounting operators, due to a sharp increase in the exchange rate, refinancing rates, as well as due to the exclusion of equipment manufacturers, refuse to fulfill obligations under contractual obligations.
Vimpelcom’s investments in 2022 amounted to RUB 59.3 billion, down 20.9% compared to 2021. Capital expenditures of MTS remained at the same level: 111.2 billion rubles in 2022 and 111 billion rubles in 2021.
