The update concerns the web version of the service, as well as web apps for Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. As part of the update, three major changes have been made that will make watching videos on Windows even easier.

First of all, YouTube’s dark theme now automatically adapts to the computer theme chosen by the user. Search bar included.

Also in the YouTube player there are buttons to fast forward and rewind the video for 10 seconds. In this way, users can easily review the interesting moments of the video or quickly skip the unnecessary parts.

Third, users with a YouTube Premium subscription were able to watch improved 1080p quality videos with a higher bitrate. Previously, this option was only available on iOS and then in some regions. Now rolling out to all regions where Premium subscription is available.
