Wholesale retailer Metro has launched express delivery for businesses in all cities where it has a presence, the company said. More than 45 thousand items from the assortment are available for order, and the average delivery time will be from one and a half to two hours.
Previously, overnight delivery was available to business customers. Delivery was made according to a preliminary request, usually the day after the order. This format, according to data from the retailer itself, is used by 30,000 customers in Russia.
Now, when you open a Metro website or app, the system automatically detects that a B2B customer is in front of it and displays a pop-up window informing you about the possibility of requesting a business express delivery.
Delivery and assembly of the order for commercial customers is free.
Among Metro’s customer groups, express delivery is the most in demand between restaurants and offices. The average cost of one order is about 7 thousand rubles. Among the most demanded products in restaurants are refrigerated salmon, Rioba milk and vanilla ice cream, in offices – paper, garbage bags and paper napkins.
