This facility is responsible for the supply of Storm Shadow and Brimstone missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and for the supply of weapons to nuclear submarines stationed at the Scottish base. According to an unnamed newspaper source, if the strike is extended, it could affect missiles headed to Ukraine or the Faslane base in Scotland.
The protest action should continue on 17 July. However, a Department of Defense spokesman assured that emergency measures were in place to ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility.
Meanwhile, Storm Shadow has recently fallen into the hands of the Russian army. Scott Ritter, a retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer, talked about what plans the country might have in this regard.
