Russians will be able to send transfers to their accounts at other banks without commission in the amount of up to 30 million rubles per month. The cap became one of the main amendments in the bill for the second reading, previously it was supposed to set the threshold at 1.4 million The draft has been sent to market participants, it is scheduled to be discussed in committee of the relevant State Duma in July. 17, Izvestia learned.
An exception will be transactions that customers make personally at the branch. The new rules must enter into force nine months after the official publication of the law.
Several major banks supported the innovation. Clients should be able to freely manage their money, regardless of the bank with which the account was opened, Tinkoff’s press service noted. They stressed that the current limit of 100,000 rubles per month for transfers through the SBP without commissions is not enough.
