A branch of the Moscow Israeli cooking network Dizengof/99 has opened in Tashkent. This was said by one of the founders of the institution Evgeny Tsyupko. The budget for the project was about $200,000.
Dizengof/99 has been operating in Moscow since 2015. The network was founded by Evgeny Tsyupko and Galina Nikolaeva. The first cafe was opened near the Taganskaya metro station. The concept of the establishment is a classic Tel Aviv cafe in the Russian capital.
According to Evgeny, he moved with his wife Galina to Uzbekistan in October and began to study the field of catering in the capital of the Central Asian country, after which he decided to open a branch Dizengof / 99. According to the businessman, they rented premises for a coffee and prepare for the opening since spring. As the founder clarified to RB.RU, investments in the project amounted to almost $200,000.
“The concept of the establishment is that it is an urban cafe on the streets of Tel Aviv with classic Israeli dishes: hummus, falafel, shakshuka, large portions of salad, branded schnitzel…” says Evgeniy Tsyupko.
He added that in the first days of work, relocators from Russia had already shown interest in the institution. The owners of the establishment plan to acquaint local customers with the features of Israeli cuisine.
In April, the Yandex.Lavka service added a section with recipes from the chefs of the capital’s restaurants to its application. The list also includes dishes from the Dizengof/99 chain.
