Rostec has officially announced the successful launch into orbit of the forward IR Fourier spectrometer of the KFS-2 model, located on the onboard meteorological satellite instrument of the Meteor-M type, which was developed jointly with the Shvabe engineers and will be engaged in sounding the earth’s surface.
At the same time, IKFS-2 can correct the temperature parameters of the planets and allow them to program for possible cataclysmic phenomena due to the expected change in pressure levels, changes in temperature and variability that cause various gases at the level of the troposphere.
All this, of course, the forecasts of meteorologists produce accurate forecasts, including the reliability of determining exceptional indicators. We are talking about the success of the occurrence of hurricanes with tornadoes or tsunamis and other anomalous phenomena that are of a nature.
The predecessor of the instruments of the new IKFS-2 model monitored the IR spectrum of the earth’s surface and its atmosphere for about eight years and, as a result, worked three years more than planned. Taking into account the experience of its operation, a modified IKFS-2 was created, which received a number of new functions.
