This format appeared in response to requests from bloggers who left Instagram* after blocking this social network in Russia. But it turns out that the visible video messages (“circles”) are not functional enough for bloggers. Stories are designed to remedy the situation.
But even after the introduction of the new feature, the problem has not been fully resolved: Until now, only private users with a Premium subscription can use Stories, channel and group managers and owners cannot. According to Messenger’s developers, Stories will be available to all users within a month.
As Zykov points out, it’s important not only that the ability to use Stories is obvious, but also that links can be added to Stories. For now, they can only be included in the accompanying text. In this context, the expert noted that the Stories should be finalized.
“If this format evolves, new functionality emerges and becomes available for Telegram channels, the community will receive additional tools to monetize its content and attract viewers from Instagram*,” the expert said.
