Competition among employers in the market is constantly increasing, and in order to attract employees, companies must offer not only high salaries. According to hh.ru and Yakov & Partners, the average time to recruit candidates has multiplied by 1.5, regardless of the size of the company. Nearly one in three recruiters closes a position in an average of 2-3 months.
Tochka’s HR business partner Elvira Farvazova told RB.RU how to attract staff, take care of employees and improve their working conditions with the help of non-material bonuses in 2023.
Turn the company into an island of stability in a constantly changing world
For example, in Tochka, according to the expert, they try to maintain hotlines with the company’s leaders every six months, where each employee has the opportunity to ask any questions. There is also a chat in the corporate messenger for all employees, where employees punctually share the most important news, for example: there will be salary indexation, the development vector of the company will change, working conditions will change somewhat, etc.
According to Elvira Farvazova, this gives employees a sense of confidence in the future, as they understand what is happening now in the company and how they can influence it.
Give more feedback to the employee
This is necessary so that the employee does not have the feeling that he can be fired at any time, explains the expert. She recommends telling what she is doing well and what is not very well. By emphasizing the employee’s achievements, the manager validates her results and can take on more ambitious tasks with confidence next time.
Try to remove routine problems that require a lot of time and effort from employees.
For example, a company can connect VHI so that an employee can always receive medical and psychological assistance. Assistants can handle business travel arrangements, internal approvals, and bureaucracy.
Make the office more than an office
The specialist also recommended taking care of rest and sleep areas, setting up a gym or a mini-library. Organize areas where you can chat with colleagues in an informal atmosphere: a karaoke room or a terrace to sit after work. If there are no such opportunities, then Elvira Farvazova advised to gather circles of interest, organize sessions of board games, hold competitions. On the one hand, this will unite employees in informal groups, and on the other hand, it will help to change work tasks and relax.
Give the opportunity to rest, take vacations at a convenient time or time off at your expense, when necessary
If a super valuable employee has burned out, then you can offer them a sabbatical (a long vacation without pay). It does not cost the company anything, but the person will have the opportunity to restart, the specialist concluded.
