The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has instructed to create a special mathematical method for assessing the reliability of electronic components. This method can save time and money when evaluating the reliability of electronics. In the future, this approach will be used by Russian developers and manufacturers of integrated circuits and semiconductor devices.

In Russia, a new method is being developed for assessing the reliability of integrated circuits and semiconductor devices using mathematical estimation. For this purpose, 464.8 million rubles were allocated. The purpose of the development is to reduce the time and resources spent evaluating the reliability of electronic components. This is important to ensure Russia’s independence in technological and import substitution.

The results of this study will be used to test new and already manufactured microelectronics and semiconductor technology products. The reliability of electronic components is also critical for the safe operation of unmanned vehicles and the availability of critical information infrastructure. This task is especially relevant in the context of strained political and economic relations with some countries.
