Answering questions about the design, Lei Jun emphasized that the Mix Fold 3 will be equipped with Xiaomi’s innovative DragonHinge, a multi-level design consisting of 14 mechanisms. Unlike conventional hinges, this design changes screen contact from linear to surface contact upon impact, providing enhanced resistance to drop and preventing deformation.

And even after 200,000 folds, the Mix Fold 3 remains exceptionally flexible with a fold increase of just 10 micrometres.

The device has an 8.03-inch internal 2K display with a maximum brightness of 2600 nits.

The Mix Fold 3 will also feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, symmetrical dual speakers, 50W wireless charging, and four Leica cameras with 3.2X and 5X periscope zoom.
