Since February 2023, developers and users have been watching pre-release and beta versions of Android 14, the next major iteration of the world’s most popular operating system.

This latest update is packed with fixes and bug fixes, as expected. While the official changelog doesn’t mention new features, more research can be done once the beta version is installed.

The stable version of Android 14 is expected to be released in late August or early September. For comparison, Android 13 was released on August 15, 2022.

Traditionally, the first phones to run Android 14 out of the box will be the new Google smartphones Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
