Russian Post will store and process orders from Yandex.Market sellers at the sorting center in Kazan, Post’s press service said. This is not the first stage of cooperation between the company and the market – in Moscow and St. Petersburg, branches were previously launched together with Market.
Russian Post will sort and transfer up to 1.35 million orders per month for shipment to the Market’s collection point and for courier delivery.
Initially, the company will process about 20,000 shipments per day, and during the peak period – 45,000. In addition, Post will help Market with the return of goods.
It is noted that work with orders is carried out on the basis of the Yandex.Market software, thanks to which it is possible to monitor compliance with the SLA (Service Level Agreement).
At the beginning of the summer, the general director of the Russian Post, Mikhail Volkov, spoke about the priority goals of the company. Among them is turning Correos into a key logistics operator for the e-commerce segment.
