The Central Bank announced an unscheduled meeting on the key rate. It will take place on Tuesday, August 15. Today, exchange rates have updated their maximums since the end of February 2022: the dollar rose above 102 rubles, the euro – above 111 rubles.
The Bank of Russia will hold an unscheduled meeting of the Board of Directors dedicated to the key rate. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 15, the regulator said in a statement.
“A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia will be held on August 15, 2023, at which the issue of the key rate level will be considered,” the Central Bank said.
The Central Bank plans to publish the decision of the board of directors at 10:30 Moscow time.
On Monday, exchange rates reached their highest level since February 21, 2022. The US dollar rose to 102 rubles, the euro – to 111 rubles.
