TikTok will let social network creators add a badge to posts containing artificial intelligence (AI) generated material. Previously, the ByteDance platform had requested that deepfakes and AI content be “openly disclosed” in posts.

It is now possible to activate the badge, otherwise the content may be removed. The warning that appears on the screen reads, “You must share AI-generated content with realistic scenes in accordance with our community guidelines.”

“Stamps help people distinguish between real and fictitious content,” social media consultant Matt Navarra posted on his X account, formerly Twitter, follows the message from the social network. The ‘Enable’ button appears at the bottom of the screen.

Before publishing a video, in the “More options” section, there is a new key for AI-generated content. At the bottom, under “Advanced Settings,” it’s next to Audience Control, Publish as Template, and Save Video to Device.

The resource is still in the process of being implemented and not all users have it yet. HE Competing with ByteDance’s platform with Reels, Instagram is also working on its own artificial intelligence tag.

Meta, which owns Instagram, pledged to develop AI responsibly by attending a meeting with the US government in July along with other major technologies. The companies have agreed to publicly disclose technology-generated content.
