The Avito service and the Russian Post are testing a new format for paying for goods, receiving them through Avito Delivery, the Post’s press service said. Now buyers will be able to pay for orders after checking in the department, and not at the time of registration.
Previously, funds were debited upon placing an order, with the partner freezing the amount and returning it after rejection at the point of issue.
Now it will be possible to pay for the merchandise and delivery on the spot upon receipt at the Post Office. Before paying, the customer will have 15 minutes to verify and make a decision. No cancellation or return fees will be charged.
The new format has limitations, at the same time, in this way, you can pay for no more than three products. Also, the new format doesn’t work for listings marked “14 days for returns.”
In the initial stage, the rules will work in test mode only for some users. If Post partners decide to scale the option, it will be available to everyone in the fall.
Russian Post is also expanding its partnership with the markets. The company will start processing Yandex.Market orders at a sorting point in Kazan.
