Budget revenue from fees from the sale of the business of companies from “unsympathetic” countries exceeded 50 billion rubles.

Contributions to the federal budget from the sale of business of companies from “enemy” countries since the beginning of this year amounted to 54 billion rubles. RBC writes about this with reference to data from the Electronic Budget system.

The government introduced fees on transactions for the sale of Russian businesses by companies from “unfriendly” countries in December 2022. The fee is usually paid by the buyer: its size is at least 5% of the market value of the business if the sale discount is less than 90%. If the discount exceeds 90%, then the contribution increases to 10% of the market value.

When exiting the Russian market, investors from “unsympathetic” countries offer at least a 50% discount on the market value of the business.

According to experts, the total amount of contributions collected by the end of 2023 will be more than 100 billion rubles.
