The Russian group GS will produce substrates for processors in the Kaliningrad region. The rollout is scheduled to begin before the end of 2024, Kommersant has learned.
For the production of 2-3 thousand substrates, according to experts, investments of $ 100 million may be required and for the project to bear fruit, it is necessary to ensure the demand of the largest customers for electronic equipment with Russian processors.
- Earlier, the government approved an expanded list of Russian software, the pre-installation of which will be mandatory from 2024.
- The law on the mandatory pre-installation of home programs on devices sold in the country came into force in the spring of 2021. The selection of the necessary software is carried out by the Ministry of Digital Development.
