This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko. He emphasized that such a tool would help bridge the digital divide by providing access to communication even in the most remote locations.
This technology will play an important role in the development of unmanned systems in agriculture and the economy of autonomous navigation. The first communication session using low-orbit satellites was held between Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshenko and Adyge Technology Minister Zaurbek Shu. This confirms the possibility of a low-orbit satellite constellation for reliable communication.
Bureau 1440, a leading company in this field, aims to provide broadband satellite Internet service by 2027. Plans include launching 15 satellites and 10-12 rockets per year from 2025. The company aims to build and launch more than 900 low-orbit satellites by 2035 for global communications coverage.
