Meta* has made changes to its resource usage policy. Users of the company’s services will be able to disable recommendation algorithms, writes TechCrunch.
The company agreed to changes in connection with the new EU law on digital services. According to him, users of large Internet platforms should be able to disable recommendation algorithms.
Meta users will be able to view feeds, reels, and stories in chronological order and see posts only from the people they follow.
The company must introduce the feature by August 25.
*Meta is recognized in the Russian Federation as an extremist organization whose activities are prohibited.
