The smartphone market has been declining year-over-year after sales peaked from 2017, so analysts expect demand for the new iPhones to be low. In this regard, operators will launch marketing campaigns with “aggressive discounts” to retain old customers and attract new ones.

“The iPhone 15 launch is an opportunity for operators to acquire valuable customers,” said Jeff Fieldhack, research director for Counterpoint Research in North America.
