This seems like a significant improvement over Apple’s Shazam music recognition app.
According to the information on the YouTube support page, the platform is testing the search feature by song in the Android version of the application. Users can recognize the song in the service by singing or recording the song.
Those who have access to this feature can switch to this feature from YouTube voice search. After recording the audio or singing a track, the platform will detect the melody and direct the user to the corresponding YouTube videos with the song in question.
This feature is only available to a small subset of Android users. But as is often the case with Google, it is worth waiting for its massive distribution in the near future.
