YouTube Music releases live lyrics for all usersExpanding access to the tool, which was made available on a limited basis in April. As highlighted by 9to5Google On Thursday (24), the innovation will now be visible in the latest version of the app for Android and iOS.

This functionality is available in the “Lyrics” tab at the bottom of the app’s home screen. The full lyrics of the song appear in light gray when tapped while the song is playing. the running section appears highlighted in whitefacilitates its recognition.

In the background is a blurred version of the album cover, whose hue changes depending on the disc, and a musical note icon showing the instrumental part before the beginning of the lyrics. As with Spotify, Apple Music, and other competing services, YouTube Music lets you rewind or fast forward playback by tapping any part of the lyrics.

Does it apply to all songs?

In this first moment of expanding live lyrics functionality on YouTube Music, it’s important to highlight: not all songs have new option. For those who do not have the resource, static letters are still available, as before.

Another detail is that the “karaoke mode” only works in the latest version of the application. So make sure you have it. YouTube Music 6.15 on Android or YouTube Music 6.16 on iOS to access the feature – otherwise update from your device’s official store.

Hourly, functionality not available in web version Google’s audio streaming is limited to the app.
