According to the results of the research, Russian players rated Genshin Impact as the best free game, Dota 2 took the second place, and League of Legends was ranked as one of the best free games by Russian players.
Next in the ranking are CS:GO shooters, War Thunder simulator, Apex Legends and Fortnite. The list also includes the Hearthstone collectible card game (CCG), as well as Warframe and Overwatch.
Making free games can be difficult because developers don’t make money from game sales. Instead, they need to look for alternative ways to monetize, such as advertising or microtransactions. That’s why experts called the creation of a free game “true art”.
