According to StormWall analysts, this shows that the interest of cybercriminals in our country is decreasing.
In other words, in the first half of 2023, Russia carried out only 4.7 percent of all attacks, compared to 8.9 percent a year ago. In terms of the number of attacks, the US, India and China are currently in the top three.
Experts attribute the decrease in activities against Russia to the loss of interest of politically motivated hacktivists and the lack of technical resources to organize cyber incidents.
Hackers mostly attack companies in the financial sector, telecom sector and entertainment sector. The main targets in Russia are the financial sector, telecommunications and retail.
